I was recently in Japan and spent some time at the Revolution shop where I had a very good look over the car and surprisingly most of the car is actually built in house and it certainly is a work of art. What you say is correct about the body work and yes it runs a Hewland sequential transmission. All suspension is fabricated and it is fitted with alloy bulkheads ala open wheel GT car technology. Where it is different from the JGTC cars is that it uses conventional style coilover suspension unlike the inboard rocker arm style dampers the JGTC cars tend to favor. In fact even the dampers are made in house by Revolution which I found quite interesting. It is certainly pushing the boundaries of what would be considered a time attack vehicle but then again it obviously fits the rule book in Japan or it wouldnt be racing. regardless it certainly is very impressive to look at and no doubt will go much faster as development continues
