T-Mobile G1 with Google Press Conference in New York

Google has finally taken the wraps off its first Android
phone, the G1 from T-Mobile. The new smartphone runs on Google’s open source software, exculsive to T-Mobile in the States and the UK. The HTC manufactured G1 offers connectivity for global use with GSM support as well as 3G UMTS/HSDPA connectivity (GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, UMTS 1700/2100MHz). WiFi is also on board. Full HTML web browsing with tap to zoom is available on the new smartphone along with a bevy of Google apps including Google Maps with a compass mode. The G1 also features a 3 megapixel camera, GPS, and Bluetooth.
