T.A.F. New Advertising Program

I just wanted to type up a quick little announcement letting everyone know that we have opened the site to advertisers. It was with careful thought that we decided to do this. Ryan and my self both have a LOT of plans for the site for 2009 and in order to meet those we needed some financial support to fund it. Here are a list of some exciting plans for 2009:

-Site Promotion @ Events: we will be going to West Coast Time Attacks as well as track events and be promoting the site.

-Give-a-ways: For 2009 we will be doing more promotional give-a-ways then we even did in 2008. Some of our avid site users of 2008 will even be receiving a surprise for us as a Thank you for your support.

-New site design - Im only so capable of doing so much, so Its my goal to hire a professional theme designer to develop a all new and more professional look for TAF. The cost of this isnt cheap so I hope to have it done by middle of the year.

-Faster Sever - as you all saw last week we moved to a new faster server. This should reduce errors and lag time as well as keep the site up 99.9% of the time. If you have been on the site a lot the last couple of months you will know the errors and issues we are talking about. The new sever however didnt come cheap as its now costing us 5x more then the old one.

-New exciting features - Im working on adding some new features to the site that will make it be better over all and more user friendly.

Anything to support TAF . Not to mention its a great group to advertise my products too .

On some other forums, members are able to send money and become a supporting member. Changes screen name different color, and adds a tag below it. Just a thought.

We thought about that, but we didnt want the users to feel like they need to do that. We really want the user to just be able to use the site and enjoy it for free. At least with the Vendors, it opens up the site to good deals on products and helps pay for costs.

yes.. but since the site is still small every little bit of support can help.

I think most users would be willing to put up something to help support the site. Even $10/year helps. If you really feel bad then you can send everyone t-shirts or stickers and get free marketing out of it.

Ill talk it over with Ryan and see what he thinks ... maybe we could put together a package that's a T-Shirt, stickers, special discounts from site vendors, special "TAF Supporter" tag and more for a annual price.

Kris, let me know what I can do to help advertise. I can cover the Chicagoland area at the very least. I am also very involved with local forums as well as EvoM and work for a shop now as their tuner -I have quite some reach to the public.

Shoot me advertising info. I have your banner on my ghetto frontpage at the moment. My business is local only so becoming a vendor on here wouldn't be as useful for me but im sure we could work something out.
