My name is Josh and I am currently in the early development stages of building my EG Civic Hatch. In short its a JDM K20A swapped barrel of laughs and over the next 12 months or so I will be getting it up to a competitive level, as I am juggling build this along with getting my new business up and running. A complete run down of mods so far can be found in my profile.
...

OK I know there is alot of crazy things I am about to say but here it goes anyway. I am building an Unlimited TA Dodge Avenger (A Dodge what?).

The 1st gen Dodge Avenger is basically a second gen Eclipse with either the weak 2.0L 420A i4 or the weak 2.5l 6g73 V6 (smaller cousin to the 3000GT/3rd Gen Eclipse 3.0L 6g72).

I am a huge Avenger fan despite the complete lack of any aftermarket support besides a few cross over parts from the Eclipse. I have owned mine off the lot since 1996 and I have owned 2 others for fun. The Avenger was a flop for the most part and are extremely rare here in WA (more popular in the MW and NE). But i absolutely love the body lines of this car and wanted to built what i would image an "R/T" or now "SRT" version would of been like. This was my idea to take available parts to Dodge at the time and make that car. It would utilize the 2g Eclipse GSX rear end, the Dodge Viper 6spd T56 and the 3000GT DOHC Twin Turbo 3.0L.

I have a huge love for motorsport and i have become a massive fan of TA style racing. This turned a fun project into a full blown race car. I have since changed to the 4th gen Eclipse 3.8L MIVEC engine (still planning on TT) and upgrading the rest of the parts accordingly (Built Trans, Tubular sub-frames, Twin plate clutch, ect)

It will feature:
- 6g75 MIVEC engine (currently NA for chassis testing, maybe running of stock ECU)
- FR T56 6 speed transmission rated at 700hp
- SPEC custom twin plate clutch, rated at 1200hp
- SPEC custom CNC'ed flywheel
- Bill Hitcher Custom 6G7X to T56 Cast Bell housing
- 99gst_racer (Paul from dsmtuners) Custom Rear tubular sub frame and suspension
- ProFab NW Custom Tubular front sub frame and suspension
- ProFab NW Custom Roll Cage
- ProFab NW Custom Intake Manifold
- ProFab NW Custom Tubular front and rear UCAs
- FSX Racing Stitch welded body
- FSX Racing CF/FG rear floor
- FSX Racing Aluminum under tray
- FSX Racing CF/FG Front and Rear Aero Package
- FSX Racing Wide Body
- FSX Racing CF Tunnel/Diffuser
- Driveline Services Custom drive shaft
- Willwood or Tilton Pedal box
- StopTech Trophy Brakes
- Volk TE37 18x11 +12 Wheels
- KW Suspension with Custom CNC'ed plate and spherical bearings (RobiSpec)
- JLS Air Jacking System

Still in debate:
- AEM EMS2 or MoTeC ECM
- As much electronic sensors and data logging as I can afford. Meaning, what ever is the best one I can afford is what i will get
- 6G75 MIVEC head build, havent really read into this yet, no real reason to either at this point.

Future Turbo setup when Chassis is ready.
- ETS Custom Turbo Manifolds
- ETS Custom Intercooler and piping
- ETS Custom Down Pipes
- English Racing Tune
- Ray Pampena Built 6G75
- PTE twin 5130R Turbo Chargers (or some other setup? Still have a year or two to worry about this)

Dream Parts:
- Custom CNC'ed Front and rear Knuckles and Hubs (probably an actual likelihood)
- EMCO Sequential T56 (anyone have $15,000?)
- Full CF body build (Time/Money)
- CF under tray (Time/Money)
- JRZ Quadruple suspension (anyone got another $15,000?)

There are obviously hundreds of other little custom parts that I know need to be made I just didnt feel like listing them all as well as the slew of normal parts, fuel setup ect.

On to the build progress pics!

Starting Point my original 96 in back and Black up in front with blown Trans.

Hi all,

I would like to ask your opinion on the spoiler I made.
This is my first this kind of job, so probably there is lots of mistakes and I want to know what could be improved.

The good thing is that I can sit on it and it's very digid, no any movement from side to side (I mean trunk is not waving).

It's not fully finished yet, I will add side plates on spoiler and think of doing adjustment at rear with something like this:
Pair Two Way Adjustable Spot Lamp Steady Bars Autograss | eBay

And I was suggested by one guy to do adjusting at rear. Is that important or not?

Here are the pictures:

This is a brand new in the box Haltech Sport 2000 stand alone management system with "long flying lead harness". This is a universal system that can, and has been used on practically any powerplant available. It is an extremely user friendly system, and is surprisingly straight forward to install, and operate. Essentially, the "long flying lead harness" comes with unterminated ends which you cut to length and connect to sensors/injectors/coils/esc on your engine. The other end of the harness is a fuse/relay box, which only requires a few power and ground connections from the battery. The ECU plugs into the harness, which is equipped with an on board MAP senor(2bar). The greatest advantage to the Haltech system, aside from its simplicity, is its ability to interface with the RacePak digital dash with one plug. This allows you to display any parameter from the ECU on to your dash, eliminating the need for sensors, senders, and gauges. This can equate to quite a bit in savings, and an exponential gain in engine monitoring. The RacePak is also sold with on-board data logging, for those using it for track use. Haltech has customer service second to none, and their techs will guide you through your specific installation, step by step. Again, this system is brand new, and sell for $2200 on the low end.

How's it going guys, I've been lurking this site for information for quite a while now and figured it's about time I post an intro. I may be a bit of a newbie in the track scene (I've got less than a handful of HPDEs in a previous car under my belt), but it's time that changes.

I've got an '07 STi that I've been very slowly building up since I picked it up from the dealer brand new. Right now it's set up with a pretty decent suspension setup (RCE TIIs w/sways, ALK, RCA, etc), brake pad/rotor/line upgrade, 17x9.5/255s w/fender work for a little more, half cage done to NASA spec w/a pair of RaceTechs, and a destroked 2.34l built for 550whp but currently running 460whp @ 19psi while I shake everything down. Last summer she won best 06/07 at West Coast Subaru Show.
Excuse the old pictures as current mods are missing in some, but I haven't taken many recent ones.

Now the plan is essentially to save this car from its sheltered life and use it the way I truly intended. Step one is to address the car's aerodynamics since it feels really light and unstable at high speeds with the factory spoiler removed. I wasn't ready to chop my quarters and needed something readily available, so I've got an APR GTC-300 on the way and am currently doing my homework on making a DIY front splitter... which is actually what lead me to this site to begin with. :smilie_thumbsup:
Endgame right now is simply having a fun, safe, reliable lapping day car. I'm itching for more seat time!
