The first round of the Super Lap Battle qualifiers started off with a bang from mother nature with a little rain throughout the day. While the rain made things a little more difficult the Crawford STI driven by the infamous Tarzan Yamada was able to set a new track record with a blazing time of 1:02.100. In the Limited Class JC Meynet pulled out the overall class win with a 1:04.297. Getting the Street Class overall win by a 2.4 second margin was Tony Szirka’s UMS Evo equipped on Continental Contisport 3s setting the fastest time for street tires with a 1:09.512. For full results make sure to check out the August issues of Super Street, Import Tuner and Modified magazines.
