Bonanni Motorsports and Berk Technology have been competing against each other in Redline Time Attack competition since 2007, but for the 2010 season they are joining forces to come back as one strong team. They will be competing in the Redline Time Attack Street RWD class using Berk Technology’s awesome BMW 135i time attack car. Bonanni Motorsports owner/driver Mike Bonanni will be behind the wheel of the 135i for the 2010 season as the newly merged team makes a strong effort to clench the 2010 Street RWD championship and become the top European chassis in the Street Class ranks! Bonanni has already piloted the Berk Technology 135i at the 2009 Super Lap and Redline Time Attack finals where the new team knocked seconds off of the car’s previous fastest laps at both Buttonwillow Raceway and Auto Club Speedway.
“I am very fortunate and excited to have the opportunity to team up with Berk Technology and maintain my presence at Redline Time Attack events as a driver. I feel that the partnership is a great mix and a recipe for success. I look forward to getting back on the podium next year.” – Mike Bonanni
The car has proven to be a capable platform and with some off-season development and testing the team is confident that they will be able to put the BMW on the podium at a number of 2010 Redline Time Attack events to contend for the season championship! Be on the lookout for the Berk Technology BMW 135i at the first round of the 2010 Redline Time Attack season held on March 27-28 at Buttonwillow Raceway.
