I really hope next year we run the big track.... after watching this year, even if our car was ready, im not sure we would have entered this event.... not enough carnage...
I have lost brakes etc... in very fast race cars, lmp etc.... and you hope to god you have run off...
the big track isnt tremendously better (down into 5 for instance) but atleast the front straight has runoff, and speeds are minimal through the carousel etc...
congrats to topspeed... i enjoyed watching ur splitter suck itself to the track and release LOL!!! "what was that noise?"
well done everyone....

I know of a few but they are all down here in VA and NC...long hike for you.
Regardless, I find it funny that it takes a weekend like this to make people realize the tip of the iceberg for accident potential...
Remember all you street guys, the back seat being in the car comes before safety (ideal location of rollcage)
that rule =

It's something I've been aware of for a long time, which really reflects even worse upon me. Ever since I pulled the headliner and realized how little rollover protection there really was, I've been concerned. I've just been so constricted on budget and clearly, my priorities have been a little skewed as I've just been trying to get to as many events as possible. There are a few guys nearby that could probably do it, but they've been so backed up with work...the few that are available charge an arm and a leg. Realistically though, for now I really could just do with a well-constructed roll bar and then weld additional components as time and budget permitted. Between the 2 Evos, PTuning's TC, the S2000 (or was it 2?), and the BMW, I've seen enough carnage to effectively be "scared straight".

exactly...that's my biggest peave with the street rules...if you wanna be safe you still have to find a way to keep the backseat in...like a cage weighs less than a 5lb backseat!!
let's just make street rules the same street legal as southern VA or better yet, Indiana, Iowa, Florida, etc...

actually, I wish I could use that as an excuse, but I'm pretty sure street class allows us to remove anything from the driver's seat backwards...so rear seats can be taken out...(so shame on me).
