Wouldn't the overall points class just be for awarded for an overall event win? IE: Grand Champion wins

Confused.... why the overall class is awarded like it is, thought thats what all the class points were for

damn Matt. I would love to travel to others far away events to get some more points but damn it's freaking expensive this day. I'm still paying my CC for the last event ST. Luois RTA trip lol Matt is just straight out a Baller

Its my understanding that overall points are based on total points period. Overall wins don't count for anything points wise.

^^^ Evidentaly, you only get to count points from 1 class, not total points earned with RTA. No class has more points available than another and the overall fastest car of the event doesnt get any more points than the winner of any other individual class.

This means that a fwd street guy could potentialy be ranked higher than an unl awd guy if he accumulates more points in the year.

At least this is how I understand it to be. Is this correct?

It does seem like unl points should hold more value than mod which should hold more value than street. (now isn't this a self-less suggestion coming from a street guy....)

Also, the number of competitors in a class should factor in as well. A win against 1 or 2 other cars in your class should mean less than a win against a dozen, regardless of category.

I can see your arguement, JC. Maybe overall class wins should get a couple bonus points next season or something. But its a little late in the year to be making adjustments to how point totals are made.

And frankily, for championship implications, its a little late to be adding events to the schedule if the points are going to count towards the season total. Selfishly, the field of cars that can overtake me has suddenly grown substantially if New Jersey is a season points race. Sucks considering how I planned out the season to have things change as they go on...

i think the season grand champion should have the most grand champion trophies. . followed by some tie breakers of sorts.
