Funny that you say that...I've heard really good things about their pads, too. Those are probably the next ones I'd really like to try out.

I wasn't a fan of the Hawks I've ran before either...they wear out so quickly, trash my rotors and just don't seem to have the same bite at the Cobalts.

I found a trailer, but it's that heavy old steel one that I borrowed from last year. Works really well, but considering the fact that I'm also borrowing the wife's truck, I've got a lot riding on the fact that nothing breaks...and that's before I even get on the track!

I used to think endless was jdm bling (and still sorta do - atleast their street, anodized calipers) but lately I have seen them being tested and tortured and still surviving just fine. Their racing brake fluid, albeit quite pricey, is the official supplier to the brawn f1 team, they are the only brake fluid used in the Porsche mobil1 supercup series and were in like 9 of the top 12 teams' cars that ran the nurburgring 24 hrs, including defending champions manthey racing.

Not only fluid, since they have a technical partnership with HKS, the tsukuba record holder ct230r runs endless brake systems/pads as well as several super gt teams... Also, risi competizione runs their pads on their gt2 class ferrari f430 and have won several alms championships as well as being defending champs of the 24 hrs of lemans.

I like companies with strong racing pedigrees.

Well... it looks like a last minute change of plans from the BC Racing Suspension camp has me on a flight from San Diego to the east coast to compete in the BC Racing, Relentless Autosports, Jim Wolf Technology, CCW, Hankook, D Sport Mag, GT Spec, Comp. Clutch, Cobra seat Infiniti G35 this weekend. (that's a mouth full

This will be the first time that the G35 will be at a track at all since its metamorphosis from last year. New widebody, twin turbo kit, suspension, suspension goemetry, wheels, tires, tuning, etc. We have no idea what to expect, just viewing this event as a shake down for the car as of now. It will be a shot in the dark completely. LOL

I guess since we are probably so close to the Charlotte area "NASCAR country"...My Boss from my day job, Mr. O'Brien of O'Brien Motorsports marketing one of the leading motorsports marketing agents in the country will be there to check up on me

I'm just down the road from you at Myrtle Beach for vacation. I'll be in mid-afternoon on Saturday so I'll stop by and say hi. Tony and Tony should be heading down on Saturday and be there late afternoon.

Could anyone answer this question for me since this will be the first event I have gone to, I wont be competing but would like to look at some of the cars and talk with some of you guys, if I purchase a general admissions pass for the event to spectate, will I be able to do this?

Lol, this isn't F1 where you have to be a VIP to get pit access and to talk to drivers.

the entry fee will grant you access to the entire paddock area. You can get up & close to the cars and the drivers, as well as getting up to pit lane to take pics, watch the action and what not.
