FX Motorsports to compete in World Time Attack challenge

I can now officially announce that FX motorsports development are the second US team to enter in the World Time attack Challenge in their Acura NSX. Without a doubt this car is one of the most exciting cars out of the USA and I am sure they will be a force to be reckoned with at Eastern Creek in May. We also have an entry from New Caledonia and another heavy hitting Japanese team that we will be announcing in the coming weeks. The interest world wide has been enormous with media now confirming they are coming from all over the world to capture this once in a life time experience.

Out of curiosity, how much would it cost to ship a car from the states to Australia?

I can tell you the cost of shipping with customs fees, wharf charges and transport Sydney LA return ex LA is approx $11,000USD for a 20 foot container or approx $15,000USD for a 40 foot container that will take 2 cars making it about $7000USD each if you bring two cars.

No sadly we tried very hard to get any UK teams interested but unfortunately to no avail. We did have some interested teams but none have come forward with an entry and I doubt it will happen now They do have a very well supported local series and this combined with the fact that it is a seriously long way to travel (much further than Japan or the USA) meant that it never happened. Its a shame but anyway. I particularly would have like to have seen the Roger Clark WRX or the Red Brick Racing Evo come out but hey........ maybe next time!

It's the economy. That's a butt load of cash were talking about with undetermined ROI. We have a hard enough time getting people to events here in the states. At least the internet technology is to the point that people can at least watch the events. Will it be televised?
